Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija entered the world on June 15, 2023 and while he is still relatively young, he is making seriously big moves in the genre as if he was born to do it. He adopted the name Peso Plumo after a conversation with Marco Antonio Barrera (a Mexican boxer), who thought that he looked like a "featherweight" (which is the literal translation of his stage name) owing to his sleek figure.
His story is one of sheer determination. At a very young age, he taught himself to play the guitar by watching online tutorial videos, and although it doesn't look like it, Pluma's first two years were a bit of a struggle. Even still, he managed to release two incredible albums, Ah y Qué? and Efectos Secundarios, in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
His big break came in 2022, when he released the single "El Belicón" with Raul Vega. It soon became a corrido trap anthem owing to its incredible video, which featured the two as drug cartel members. Its reception on social media outlets like Instagram, Youtube, and Tik Tok was insane and allowed the single to enter the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, peaking at number 46 and being his first entry into the charts.
From then on, it was all uphill for the rising star. In April 2022, he gave the world "Sembrando," an EP containing five brand new songs, and the fans went wild. The EP would then go on to establish his name as one of the pioneers of the genre.
More success soon followed, later in 2022, when he released "AMG" along with fellow artists Natanael Cano and Cabito Ballesteros. The single gave him his first taste of a top ten hit. He would then take the road, touring Mexico and performing at sold out venues across the country.
Now he is bringing all of that energy and more Statside for a phenomenal tour. Fans cannot wait to check him out, as this is history in the making, it will be his first tour in the nation. You have to grab your tickets right now or else you will miss out, so DO NOT DELAY!!!
