All thanks to Sammy Hagar, everyone gets the chance to relive the Van Halen vibes! The Best of All Worlds Tour is bringing in Hagar and his bandmates in The Circle (bassist Michael Anthony, a founding member of Van Halen and drummer Jason Bonham). They will be joined by famed guitarist Joe Satriani. It’s indeed an exciting tour as they’re going to play some of the Van Halen classics!
“It’s crazy to think that it’ll be 20 years since Mikey and I played these songs with Van Halen on the 04’ Best of Both Worlds Tour,” Hagar said in a statement. “With Joe on board, we can take a deeper dive into those years. We’re going to touch on some hits from my entire career, but seeing fans old and new really embrace the new collection set off something in Mikey and I. We were at my Birthday Bash in Cabo for my 76th and looked at each other and high-fived, like, ‘Let’s do it.’ We pulled out a couple of them, and it was an instant lovefest with the fans from our first riffs. The music we created is going to outlive us all. They deserve to be heard, so it’s time we go out and serve the fans that music, while we still can.”
In the past, Hagar, Anthony, and Satriani have worked together in the supergroup Chickenfoot. They released two albums between 2009 and 2011. Plus, they also toured across America to perform the songs. It’s worth noting that they never performed a single Van Halen song - so this new comeback is super exciting! When Chickenfoot ran its course, Halen and Anthony started playing the Van Halen catalog again with guitarist Vic Johnson and Jason Bonham in SAMMY HAGAR AND the Circle.
This fresh new lineup coming for a 2024 tour is essentially a mashup of Chickenfoot and the Circle. It’s the closest thing fans will ever get to a Van Halen tour, so be sure to be there! Don't miss out when the tour comes to Tinley Park, Illinois.
